Cultural Sundays – the power of Utrecht
If you wish to enjoy free art and culture at special locations, Utrecht is the place to be. Nearly every month, the city presents a Culturele Zondag (Cultural Sunday) filled with music, theatre, film, dance, and workshops at dozens of locations. For a free subscription to the folder, call (0031) (0)30-2862231 or go to www.culturelezondagen.nl

Cultural Sundays are an initiative of the city of Utrecht. The final responsibility for the Cultural Sundays is in the hands of the Vredenburg Music Centre and Utrecht City Theatre.
About 100 Cultural Sundays have been held in Utrecht in recent years. These days have a rich variety of cultural and recreational events which are often free and accessible to the general public. This is culture in the broadest sense of the word: theatre, music, film, literature, visual art as well as street acts, amateur art, display window projects, mini operas, musical boat parades, etc. On average, one Cultural Sunday is held per month and most have a theme, the programme of which is often geared to a specific audience group. In 2010, various Cultural Sundays are set to take place, such as No Label, Growing Up and Utrecht Uitfeest (Nightlife and Entertainment Party).
